A welcoming workplace
Whether you’re looking for a part-time job or full-time career, the food retail/wholesale industry is full of opportunities. As someone from another country, you have much to offer beyond your education and work experience. The language you speak, your knowledge of international food products and practices—all of these have value for companies serving Canada’s multicultural communities.
What’s more, employers in our sector invest in their people: many will pay for their workers to upgrade their language and technical skills. And as you develop those skills, you will enjoy opportunities to advance and increase the money you earn.
